You’ll walk out over the rainforest canopy and be rewarded with outstanding views over to the distant coastline. It’s free to enter, and there are many walking trails through the park for you to enjoy with your family.

Muttonbird Island

Muttonbird Island is an idyllic place for a memorable walk. This nature reserve is home to a colony of Australian Muttonbirds that migrate from Tasmania in May to lay their eggs. You can see them nestled in their burrows as you walk around the island (the best time to come is between mid-September and February). In addition, incredible views are another reason to visit Muttonbird Island. The top of the island offers far more than just its wildlife, with sweeping views over the ocean and Coffs Harbour harbour and hinterland. Muttonbird is just a short walk to Pacific Marina Apartments at The Jetty.

Dolphin Marine Magic

This marine park and dolphin research centre area is where you can observe dolphins up close and personal. Located a short stroll from Pacific Marina Apartments, The Dolphin Discovery Centre at DMM has information about whale sharks and bottlenose dolphins and interactive displays that teach kids about their habitats. There’s also an aquarium with fish from around the world. Also, there are spectacular dolphin displays in the pool throughout the day. Plus, there’s a touch tank where you can see the bottlenose dolphins up close and displays that show how they are trained at DMM. You can also book a dolphin experience, where you can swim with them in their pool! Finally, the park has plenty of picnic areas and playgrounds for kids, so it’s also a good spot for families.
