The Moonee Beach Hotel Gold Cup, now in its 57th year, has developed into a legendary event on the Mid-North Coast events calendar. The Cup attracts trainers and jockeys from across the country to battle for the coveted Gold Cup. It’s understandable that racegoers come from far and wide, with an average throng of over 6,000, on this official public holiday on the Coffs Coast because there is much to see, do, and enjoy. Bonville Golf Resort – Australian Women’s Classic
Coffs Harbour is home to the annual Bonville Golf Resort – Australian Women’s Classic each April. Bonville is ranked in the world’s top 100 golf courses. The Australian Women’s Classic is the first women’s professional golf event in Australia, and it has grown to become an annual event on the LPGA Tour of Australasia. Also, it is one of only four tournaments worldwide that both organisations sanction.
The National & State Oztag Championships
The Juniors and Seniors Championships are held at the Coffs Harbour International Stadium. Oztag is a fast-paced, no-contact sport that blends elements of rugby and tag. Plus, it is one of the fastest-growing sports in Australia. In addition, the tournament attracts players from across NSW and Queensland who compete for the national titles.
Coffs Coast Rally & Motorsport Australia Rally Championships (ARC)
More than 70 competitors converge on Coffs Harbour each year Coffs Coast Rally. This exciting event incorporates the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) and RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Championship (ARC). The event is centred around the Coffs Harbour International Stadium and attracts competitors from Australia and overseas. Furthermore, the rally is regarded as one of the best in the Asia Pacific region. In fact, competitors travel from as far away as Japan, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Malaysia to compete.
